After several years of waiting, in 2004 the first of several large projects of ASOCE became reality: the home for abandoned children in Guinea Bissau.
With the support of the Portuguese Cooperation Agency, the building of Home Emmanuel, with capacity for 140 children, in an area of 7500 square meter, was built. By January 2009 a total area of 2700 square meters of construction was reached. Intended for different functions, like: dining area, storage, well, rooms for missionaries and administrative area among others.
On the other half of the property, the Emmanuel Community School, Emmanuel Community High School and the Emmanuel Medical Center were built.
A house located in a Military District in Bissau hosted Emmanuel Home for many years before they moved to their own building in 2004.
